im gonna try this out. samba added support for it 3 months ago, but apparently it will allow windows clients to connect to samba4 shares using just Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
if you hear back from me, it will be with great triumph. if you dont, it means i finally committed suicide after failing to get sane network shares on windows, and i will be at peace at last.
