I have the bamboo ones but they're for backup when I'm steaming many different things with different cook times.
If I'm steaming just 1 thing then I just use (this exact model) steamer pot. It doubles as a normal pot, the basket fits way more, and it's a simple dishwasher cleaning instead of handwash and 2 days air dry every time you use it. Plus the basket doubles as a strainer for pasta
