Anything between FF7, FF8 or FF9 since they're the pinnacle of the series, Go backwards if you want more archaic gameplay but still extremely solid gameplay (FF4 FF5 and FF6), Forward if you want to go the modern stuff, FF10 FF12. Avoid the MMORPGs FF11 FF14
Avoid FF13 and FF15 if you haven't played all of the previous games
