Because gaming journalism seems to be heavily ingrained with the whole concept that there are sides, and this game doing well means their side is losing and the other side is winning. Who are these sides? Who the fuck knows, haven't hit my self enough times on the head yet, not been dropped as a child to see enemies in every shadow and every product that gets released, but everything in outlets like PCGamer's eyes, are either wins or losses. It can't just be a fun game, or a game that's not for them or whatever. PCGamer will use as often seen in their articles hypocrisy and stances that instantly contradict a article they wrote mere weeks earlier, almost like they all have dementia or something.
