Ultimecia is a "zoning" character which requires you to stay far away and spam, while hiding behind your spears
She has low damage and is gimmicky as fuck and you want to catch her during her slow ass dodge, or her darts that don't track well, leave her at huge recovery and you want to dash mostly laterally rather than ever going straight at her
Also consecutive perfect defense/parries are a thing in this game

I don't think those who play multiplayer actually understand the characters they play and mostly just mash
