Finished Kakuranger, also watched the summer movie and the 30th anniversary movie.
Overall Kakuranger was a top-tier season for me, loved the cast, liked the show wether it was serious or comedy, some of the most entertaining more imo, really good stakes and the main villains were fun. Only complaints would be that Junior was a better villain than Dai Maoh, the first fight against Dai Maoh was better than the second one, I felt they could have expanded on the Kunoichi a bit more and a few asspulls, but those aren't really big issues.
The summer movie sucked like most Sentai summer movies I've seen.
This is the second anniversary movie I've seen, only other one was Abaranger's. I was afraid that this movie was going to suck because of the runtime but surprisingly it was solid, managed to deliver every emotional beat and felt like an excuse to give an actually serious episode to Yellow. I still wish it had been a bit longer since I feel that would have fixed most of my complaints, my only issues are
>Mrs. Green Apple's singer being a poor actor at times, most likely because he's a musician rather than an actor
>The twins played by KirinRanger suddenly being alive without explanation? Was this explained in a VS movie? Or did I somehow missed the explanation in this movie
>Ninjaman and the mechas in general not getting enough screen time
>Also wish Junilr had gotten a bit more screen time
Also why were HurricaneBlue, HurricaneYellow and StarNinger randomly in the credits? Either way I think I really like Ayumi's writing between this movie and Donburis, would trust her for a whole season.
