Personally I hated the ending more, but the dragon was a massive slog. It sucks, I really like all 6 rangers of Dairanger, the action is top-notch (except for Dairen'Oh), the more serialized aspects of the show makes it stand out and every member aside from yellow getting a rival is mostly good, yet somehow there's a lot the show does wrong that makes me not remember it that fondly.

Watched up to episode 44 of Kakuranger. Episode 39 has to be one of the best recap episodes in the franchise, also the 3-parter from 42 to 44 felt so climatic I honestly would have been OK with it being the actual finale. I find it weird that the villains have changed bases 3 times (I know they technically only had 1 base but each makeover has been pretty crazy), I hope this isn't an Agito situation where the last stretch of episodes are weaker due to being unplanned so an earlier episode is closer to the original planned finale.
But so far I feel like I can almost say for certain that Kakuranger is one of my favorites seasons in this franchise. And also the best ninja toku

Kakuranger ended up being the superior show compared to Dairanger for me.
Ironic knowing Ogawa (Sasuke) said Kakuranger design are from scrapped Zyuranger design because they blew their budget for Dairanger which was the 15th anniversary Sentai.

Finished the "Today is Friday in California" episode, going to sleep now and most likely will finish the show tomorrow. The episode felt more like a "let's torture the fuck out of blue episode" which was weird.

Zyuohger is the better show imo but really it depends on what you're looking for. If you want a Sentai that barely has any plot then Zyuohger, if you want a fetch-quest heavy Sentai like Gingaman then Kyuranger.

I'd say overall it's the "safest" car themed season next to Turboranger. Carranger and Go-Onger are much more wacky, though I usually don't think of ToQger or Boukenger when I think vehicle/car Sentai. Except that this problem was already solved in Kyoryuger by not having every ranger be part of the main team, aside from Cyan they were able to give a considerable amount of focus to each ranger.
With Kyuranger the issue is that it has a lot of poorly done motw episodes that don't further character progression at all, most villain generals don't serve as a rival to a particular ranger and all rangers are promoted as main, so when Espada and LaPuta9 get shafted it's really noticeable and distracting compared to other seasons.

Pretty great, the setting and story are interesting, the cast is likeable too. But also everything feels rushed and messy, like they're trying to do wayttoo much simultaneously or give a bit too much focus to red.
But so far I wouldn't say it's worse than Boonboomger like the other anon, but it's definitely worse than the other Reiwa seasons. The only one I could see realistically beating by the end is Zenkaiger but so far I find it impossible for it to be better than Kiramager, Donbrothers or King-Ohger. Still a good time so far though.

Eh the cast is standout imo, also a lot of cases of the week were memorable and the comedy while not as funny as Zenkaiger and Donbrothers I still found it to be pretty hilarious. Zenkaiger on the other hand had a rushed final arc and the kikanoids barely got any proper development. I think the likeliest answer is that Akiko wants to do a mix between J-drama and bizarre comedy kodomo but doesn't know at all how to adapt to toy schedules. Finished Kakuranger, also watched the summer movie and the 30th anniversary movie.
Overall Kakuranger was a top-tier season for me, loved the cast, liked the show wether it was serious or comedy, some of the most entertaining more imo, really good stakes and the main villains were fun. Only complaints would be that Junior was a better villain than Dai Maoh, the first fight against Dai Maoh was better than the second one, I felt they could have expanded on the Kunoichi a bit more and a few asspulls, but those aren't really big issues.
The summer movie sucked like most Sentai summer movies I've seen.
This is the second anniversary movie I've seen, only other one was Abaranger's. I was afraid that this movie was going to suck because of the runtime but surprisingly it was solid, managed to deliver every emotional beat and felt like an excuse to give an actually serious episode to Yellow. I still wish it had been a bit longer since I feel that would have fixed most of my complaints, my only issues are
