First Contact: East China Sea

Seven submarines of the Nippon Maritime Forces, under the command of Rear Admiral Ryoko Azuma, have made contact. While conducting patrol operations east of the Chinese mainland, Azuma’s wolfpack sighted a massive convoy formation: dozens of transport ships brimming with troops, flanked by a significant escort of Shina warships: corvettes, destroyers, and at least one missile cruiser. The information is immediately sent to Naval Headquarters in Chugoku.
Where could they be headed?
In response, the main surface fleet of the Nippon Maritime Forces has been ordered to ready for immediate sortie. If Admiral Azuma’s submarines can maintain contact long enough, and the main fleet can intercept the convoy before Shina carrier groups establish air cover, the results could be decisive.
