I have a theory about Spider Girl.
Consider the fact that her what little we see of her 3D model looks like a holdover of Saturn development.
Consider also that Chaos was specifically stated by the Sonic Adventure developers to be created to take advantage of the Dreamcast hardware.
I doubt Spider Girl was some pop idol like it's been theorized. Rather, SPIDER GIRL WAS THE ORIGINAL SECONDARY ANTAGONIST OF SONIC ADVENTURE BEFORE THE STORY WAS REWRITTEN IN THE SATURN->DREAMCAST JUMP AND CHAOS REPLACED HER.
