PS2 is only partial PS1 hardware, does not have 100% compatibility, and even with many games ti is compatible with has issues. It's not like running GC games on a Wii or GB/GBC games on a GBA.

Yeah, sure, let's just burn hundreds of disks that may be shit quality to use on 30+ year old disk drives. Even with blank disks you eventually end up paying more if you have enough games, but you don't get all of the benefits an ODE gives you over using disks. This is like that person who argued to get a cheaper SNES Everdrive that doesn't support special chips and then buy all the games that use special chips.
