Ahh, I am woefully uneducated in music but at least in STEM I do have a handful of things to contribute to the conversation. I mainly deal with quantum mechanics stuff at work so linear algebra and friends are closer to my day to day than relativity or biology, but I do have some fun tidbits to share.

Oh lovely, it's been ages since I last solved a partial diff equation! Are you doing a small angle approximation for one or both arms of the pendulum? Even the normal pendulum was a bit of a bitch without the approximation iirc. I would love to encourage you to ramble (remember the last OP pic).
