Noelle's trauma regarding Dess' disappearance seems like the kind of thing that hit her and she immediately went emotionally numb or full repression and hasn't really recovered since but is going to have a BIG mental breakdown over soon
Like you'd be having a conversation with her and then somehow the word "December" gets said and you can immediately see a shift behind her eyes for a second or two before she goes back to 'normal'
