My crack theory is that the Holiday and Dreemurr parents were swingers/in an open polycule, we also don't exactly know how monsters concieve kids so we can't say definitively that Asriel is Toriel and Asgore's biological son, or that Dess was Carol and Rudy's biological daughter. Anyone can open a fountain and theres at least 3 people in cohoots with the knight, likely more. It's more reasonable to me that given our new information, they've been opening the fountains themselves.

Susie's fountain shows us that a dark world created by another person can look different enough with an entire new color scheme, the more people you bring in, the more people you have to explain somehow having similar enough dark worlds to pass as being made by the same person. It's needlessly complicated.
We don't know exactly how the Knight got in the computer room, but it's easy to assume that they hid in the closet like we've seen them do in ch4. And Queen does record them making the fountain, even if they aren't very visible, she's also able to describe their long hand and blade which fit with what we know.

This is a very weird phenomenon that is most likely exclusive to me, but has anyone else experienced this? Before I played Undertale, it took me a long while to even open the game, and I think this was because of how everyone said how good it is that it caused some sort of anxiety in me. For the people who played the game it isnt even just the writing, in the first hour you can immediately tell how poorly the game was designed a fundamental level. On keyboard controls which you cannot rebind, inventory is F1 and the items are sorted in one long row by ORDER OBTAINED. No sorting option, no sub menus, its fucking pokemon red. It doesnt even split consumables and equipment, they share an inventory

To be fair, you do have more freedom than other rpgs, but its mostly worthless? If you dont complete a quest the way they want you to you get no special rewards, and killing companions doesnt really mean much for a while though being able to do it at all is nice mostly because I hate a majority of them so that freedom is more of a bandaid fix for poor character writing. Its absolutely not an immersive sim though, all the freedom can be boiled down to "Skyrim if it didnt have essential npcs"
