Seriously, what were the writers thinking with this character?

She's a smug dumb bitch. She tries to dupe you. She's responsible for everything that happens to you in the Arasaka heist.
You don't even really need her. All you learn by rescuing her is that she worked with the Voodoo Boys, and that's something Dex already mentions in the briefing to the mission.

And yet, the devs are insistent that you learn about her exploitative job at Pierre Woodman's whorehouse, about her abusive lesbian relationship with Judy, about all the suffering she had to endure, and when you think that shitty story arc is finally over, they once again try to tug at your heartstrings by making her commit sokoban.

30% of the game is about trying to make you care about this idiot woman who you have a reason to hate and no reason to like, why?
