Oh also the reason I say strength or power or whatever they call it in this game isn't really important is that guns have solid damage with no stat investment and until you start the sword fusion chain that gets you hinokagutsuchi swords aren't that good unless you're against enemies that resist guns, I'm gonna be honest I have no fucking clue how resistances and shit work in smt 1 all i noticed was that sometimes my gun did very little damage when my sword did more despite the number suggesting otherwise overall pretty easy game if you understand it mechanically and how to exploit it

also tip for inevitable for people who get softlocked in smt 1 when a party member dies and you're in constant debt like a fucking wagie because your minimum wage earnings from killing demons just about pay for your healing, so you cannot for the life of you afford to revive dead party members, buy embryonic essences or whatever they're called you find them in junk shops they're overwhelmingly cheaper than going to a healer and having them revive your dead party members

keep in mind there is, an albeit very small chance of it failing and sending your char from the dying to dead state which unironically costs 10x more cause the devs where smoking crack that day I guess, and can genuinely softlock you, so save before attempting to revive party members if you don't want that to happen to you and you don't want to use the infinite macca glitch I described earlier

with all that in mind smt 1 should be a cakewalk, the cathedral's difficulty is pretty much a meme especially on neutral you just need to know how to get to the heart of the cathedral and from there you can get to the basement and the upper cathedral which are the only ones that matter since thats how you get your ending.
