One of my closest friends (I've known them essentially all my life) recently turned trans and started taking estrogen and "being a woman". I couldn't help him see the mistake he was making when he started taking hormones, the shame of not being able to help is one of the reasons why I moved away to the Islands. He still wanted to hang out and I couldn't tell him that he was embarrassing me, so I made the decision to move away and get a job on an island.

Am I a coward? Could I have helped more? Have you lost a close friend or relative affected by the mind virus?
