For the reincarnation part, I think a good argument to be made there is that while you will still lose your memories and be reincarnated into a new and different body, your soul will still carry those pieces of memories and experiences from your previous lives and will have an influence on what kind of person you're gonna be in the next life based on all of the data from the previous lives experienced. This most likely determines the genes of your new body, your new avatar, for example, and if you keep acting a certain way over and over again, you're gonna shape and mold your new avatars to fit those actions and behaviors from your previous selves.

And then how could it be possible to prevent your new body with your new memories from repeating the same mistakes again and again? That's simple.
