We're coming to the Switch 2 era where a new Smash is very likely in progress, looking back to the Ultimate discussion, the assist trophy promotion theory has been very famous during all the past years.

While I understand the sadness of fans whose favorite characters are nonplayable in this game, I feel like this theory became kinda annoying when certain fans ignore the support of other characters who've never been NPCs in Smash series. Meanwhile, I also think this theory isn't created to support Barbara or Magnus who're missing in this game and have much need to get a promotion now.
