You know, I was reading through Book II the other day, and then I saw page 100. I think the intention was to pull off something similar to the cross hatching in the original B&W version, but it just made it look like she got a tan. I wouldn't be suprised if this page was one of many key inspirations for the look of the Mirage April V2 figure. Here's the source if anyone's curious.
