not sure if it was because of picrel but my granddad used to say "people will always need food" so i should try to get a job in food.
t'pits had closed and he was long retired by then, obviously people need food but "as an industry" i'm not sure what he expected. can't exactly just become a farmer. as for traditionally working-class jobs, why WOULDN'T they hire immigrants?
