Since Kycilia severely damaged Zeon's military and the instability from the coup, there's a good chance the ending won't stay that happy. I could easily see the Feddies gearing up for round two or Zabi fanatics like Delaz rejecting the new government.

If the Feddies are the badguys in the sequel, they might bring Deux back. She's popular, and her death lacked a lot of the oomph and certainty that other deaths had. Furthermore, all the other new Gundams shown so far have had ejection systems, and Nyaan's death looked even more certain, yet she still managed to get out.
