>There's always some conflict going on, our troops assisting with some mission, etc.
1. We had parades all the time during both World Wars and the last big one was right after the Gulf War when we were FAR more involved in various global conflicts than we are now.
2. Even then it's largely the Navy and Marines that are involved in overseas conflicts due to legal technicalities, not the army (with the exception of elite groups like the Green Berets and Rangers obviously); and
3. Trump held a better parade on a lower budget 5 years ago
>I would rather the military be training for their actual jobs than doing epic Indian/Paki style marches
Alright, then I guess we should just have no parades then. If that's what you're saying fine, but then don't act like this was a good parade by ANY metric.
>They don't want to be doing anything more complicating than maybe marching (or often just being on a float) and waving to the crowd.
They did this back in the Gulf War parade for Vietnam Veterans and they appreciated the recognition and attention, that's the fucking least they could do for them and GWOT vets (who are as if not more bitter now than the Vietnam Vets were back then).
And again larpers, heritage types, and historical re-enactors like I mentioned LOVE stuff like this, hell you could probably have them do it for free if you just gave them transportation.
I don't think you Eglin types understand how damaging this shit looks to the U.S internationally, and even more so when you do Zigger or Wumao-tier defenses for it everywhere online. It has the opposite effect you think it does.
