If you had Millitan gear or whatever which has been available for free for like 3 years now then Caesar was always soloable. Everything up to Romel was soloable because those were the fights you were originally suppose to farm in groups to even be able to GET Millitan gear.
Season 4 is really just where the game expects you to both know all the ins and outs of your particular character and start learning the boss patterns instead of just going in all YOLO and expecting to win.
I remember spending at least a few days trying to get down Ragnaheim's weird ass attack patterns but it felt really good once I was able to beat him without getting hit much. That's literally peak Vindictus and a big part of why the game is still so fun.
Although i think everything up to Romel has been nerfed into oblivion by now anyway since Ardri gear is now free.
