Ironically they're not only very willowy casts, some of them are outright smaller than my old 1990s Clan War and Ral Partha miniatures. Many of them are in the range of my Fireforge stuff as well. The Wako in particular are malnourished little manlet scrappers.

Skill issue. Also good fucking luck finding decent characters for anything even remotely samurai-related that's not metal, 3DP slop, or Bushido's 35mm. Reaper, Bac Ninh, Ral Partha, Grey For Now, Zenit, Alderac, they are (or were) all slapping tin in rubber. Most of them to ~30-32mm standards because of Clan War.
I suppose there's also 1980s lines from Ral Partha and Grenadier, or 1990s Perry, if you want to go for a scant 25mm. North Star and Bad Squiddo's stuff (to a lesser extent Steel Fist as well) are very clunky and frankly ugly sculpts to my eyes
