But 3 started to allude to him and Namine becoming a thing with Sora telling her star that Riku is "someone special who won't let her down" and then Repliku's goodbye feeling like a callback to Riku telling Sora to look after Kairi at the end of 1. I agree there's a lot of subtext there and material which can be read that way. The publishing material leans into it even more so I don't know if the licensing side of Square are aware of the fujo fanbase.
