I bought my prebuilt on sale 30% off, I looked at every component and compared it to what it would cost to do myself and it was still around $200 cheaper and I wouldn't have had to wait up to two weeks for parts to arrive and then assemble it myself which takes longer than two hours and my time itself in valuable and also the entire machine is under warranty so I don't have to worry about 6 or 7 different warranties if a component has an issue.
I have built a PC before and I upgraded this one with more RAM and another NVME SSD but with all that said if it wasn't on sale I would have just built one myself because the whole prebuilt adds like a 20% - 30% markup or even more depending on how the market is.
The real price saving was on the GPU, GPU prices are fucking retarded right now.
