well it depends: the most mainstream ones are there to sell you a product. LTT is probably the most well known " I am here to sell you a product, goy " channel together with the black phone reviewer ( MKHD or somethign i forgot the name ). But there are niche channels that go more into details in more specialized fields:

if we are talking about coding, you will never learn to code by watching a video but watching stuff like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIUp8bdKiq4 is information. if you are talking about hardware stuff like https://www.youtube.com/@greatscottlab is great. I like many like it and i have little experience with hardware stuff - like just 3 Arduino projects and some Raspberry pi based servers for personal projects.

basically youtube can be good but you have to already have knowledge of the field and be specialized. LTT will teach you nothing.
