It seems they are trying to not go too crazy with convoluted effects this time.
So far every card in WB is simple to understand at first glance and doesn't have that much text. So with standard +2+2 / +3+3 you don't have to go around reading each card to know how much they gain on evolve

But again. This is the base set. So i'm not holding my breath for them doing stupid shit like pic related
