if you're willing to play a game blind and then play through it again to get the best ending, Growlanser Wayfarer of Time feels a lot like Undertale/Deltarune in regards to "player freedom"
lots of hidden kino if you're OK with seeing a "bad ending" first and then following a guide to get the shit you definitely wouldn't know to do the first time for the "true end"
plus you can actually join the bad guys in Growlanser
Artstyle is old as balls though, but also very based
