I'm not sure the sequel would be well received. The canvas will be destroyed in both endings after some time. I don't see Renoir letting the canvas remain after Maelle died inside in her ending.
So what would it be about? The writers and Clea? The real-life Simon?
What about the underlying theme too? Expedition 33 was about grief and moving on. I don't see a sequel having something as impactful..
