it was made on half of a shoestring budget and the first episodes show it, but underneath it is very wholesome and endearing. it is the very defenition of having SOVL, especially because the second season was immediately taken over by corporate globohomos who proceeded to rip out everyone to do with the success of season one and tried to recreate the same success in season 2 and failing so badly it was the worst rated anime where it streamed of all time
