I'm split.
On one hand, betraying the player would be really interesting and add a lot of narrative weight (even if it really doesn't make sense—it's a vessel built specifically to house us).
However, on the other, getting the Vessel and immediately being treated with awe and reverence as the de-facto hero of legend with enough power and determination to fuck up anything and anyone is just too fucking cool. Especially after all the bullshit and abuse we've suffered at the hands of Kris in Normal Route. It's just way more satisfying.
