2003 or so, I was 15 years old and my parents had gone on a trip to Italy, leaving me completely home alone for a week. I was playing Clocktower 3 on a Friday night and suddenly heard banging coming from the chimney, and what I thought was a low cackling. Had two german shepherds at the time and they were freaking out, whimpering and running away from the living room. I chalked it off as maybe an opossum that somehow climbed in (even though the top was closed off, or at least small enough to make it impossible for something to climb in) so I went back to playing. Got to the cutscene where the Sledgehammer dude kills the little girl and he said "I killed... her" and I heard "yes, good..." in a woman's voice coming from the chimney. I freaked the fuck out, ran upstairs with the dogs and refused to come down until morning.

The rest of that weekend was pretty normal, but I moved the PS2 up to my room on to a much smaller TV just to be safe.
