Mostly because they're major vtuber fans. You'll often see them accidentally type in random vtubers' chats because they forget to switch the account.
For example, last time, they got these gigantic inflatable wisps and dragoons and I think they brought them to the AX venue too. Some people were posting seeing them staring ominously out of second story rooms. Completely unnecessary.
