The traveler hasn't faced anything like this. At best the archons are continent level threats but they are all friendly.

I can cut slack for suddenly making the Soverigns and Shades relevant over the last 2 years, but if they are serious about transitioning to 3rd impact/star rail level scalings they really need to separate the story into Genshin Part 1 and Genshin Part 2 because they've wasted 5 years on truly irrelevant characters.
And I don't want to win with the power of friendship over our journey bullshit they've no doubt been building to.
