The existence of the knock-off Rudinns is meant to parallel the creation of the Goners (potentially even Kris if you subscribe to the Vessel Kris theory). By coloring in an object and giving it form and identity akin to an existing specific object, you create a unique Darkner that is more dependent on the existence of the creator. Without Kris, the knock-off Rudinns will be completely lost and lose their color.

So what happens if you abandon a Goner? They lose their color, their sanity, and their identity.
