recreating others' images I admire is my favorite thing besides making original art. I love art itself and I like trying to better understand decisions an artist might have made, and it's like taking a journey through their work. I hate studying and I give up after 30 minutes to 2 hours of drawing from books and anything that's more quantity > quality, but I can spend hours and hours reproducing. What can I try doing to soak up more information while doing this since I realize its inefficient? Would I be better off only replicating the part that captures my attention and doing this for many different pieces? I'm not trying to "git gud" quickly and I know everyone has a different path, but I don't know how to incorporate more deliberate thought into this.
