I agree since it's the closest to his classic look with the double button pants. Donald and Goofy retain parts of their clasic designs in KH too like the vest and sailor hat but a lot of Mickey's are a big departure. His CoM/0.2 design was probably influenced by him having the classic look in 1 so Nomura went with it for some consistency. Then they let him dress Mickey's however he wanted in 2.
