Every single fucking time I get a ban or a warning on some other website it makes me wonder why I ever bother even leaving 4chan. This place can be pretty shitty but at least here I can speak my mind. Seemingly innocuous comments land you with long suspensions almost everywhere these days. It annoys the shit out of me. We should be grateful for this place. At least here we are free.

Why do so many people these days on 4chan just fucking lie?

It's one of the most common forms of bait/trolling these days, not just on /co/ but on all sorts of boards. A thread will get started with somebody making an assertion that's just flat-out not true, obviously so to anyone who is actually familiar with the thing the thread has been started about. It's incredibly fucking lazy and it irritates me in a way a lot of trolling does not precisely because it's so fucking lazy.

It's like the old saw "bait used to be believable." Forget believable, bait used to take some fucking WORK. Trolls have gotten lazy and sloppy, and it's really bugging me a lot.
