Only sort of related, but that's one of the big difficulties with translating manually. Not only do you have to translate the line, but often times you're given a sharply limited letter count per line to fit it in. This can make conveying the meaning of the line difficult if the concept is communicable densely in Japanese but has to be explained with more words in English. It's another facet of why translating is way harder than reading.
Also, Japanese has no concept of word wrap, so often times that has to be separately done too.
