And with that, I have completed Little Busters in full. Even after taking a 6 month break to read other ge (TSReboot, Rewrite, Hentai Prison, etc.) I still have strong feelings towards this VN. It's still my favorite visual novel, and I'll miss reading it for sure. I'm thinking of honoring this VN with an illustration in the near future.
Don't know which Keyge that I'll read next, but it'll probably be either Summer Pockets or KANON. Probably a Marmalade ge or a Koku ge will be the actual next VN that I read.

Well you are about halfway to the true route. You already completed the routes that are usually ranked the lowest, so it should get better in theory.

You still have a lot of slice of life left, which is the main focus of the game tbqh. Growing attached to the heroines AND your bros makes the true route very very good and worth reading. The extra routes after the true route are also very good.
If you're really struggling to read through it, then maybe it's not for you. That's okay too. It's a VN that requires a lot of your time

I have read a few semi-recent ges that I would say fall on the old-school moege category, and there are early 2000s moeges that in my opinion aged well enough to avoid catalogued among those like Tsuyokiss

I wouldn't say it's better without h-scenes, it's just that the definitive version of the game with all the extra routes doeson't have them and that's the version you should read. If somebody made a patch to splice the h-scenes into the definitive version that'd be the best way to play the game. It's the Dies Irae problem.

Not only do you have to translate the line, but often times you're given a sharply limited letter count per line to fit it in. This can make conveying the meaning of the line difficult if the concept is communicable densely in Japanese but has to be explained with more words in English. It's another facet of why translating is way harder than reading.
Also, Japanese has no concept of word wrap, so often times that has to be separately done too.
