I don't what is supposed to be enjoyable. I downloaded recently and grinded a paladin to 50 and a black mage to 50. The main missions blow. It's just "teleport across the map to talk to someone, then teleport across the map in the other direction and fight two enemies, then teleport back here." They had me kill monkeys and fish as part of my paladin training. Really? That's all they could come up with?
On top of that the open world has nothing to do in it. It's not a world that's fun to explore because it's all just teleport-based.
So far the ONLY things I like in FFXIV are: Gold Saucer (although there's not enough games), Mahjong, Triple Triad (don't like beating a guy for 40 minutes until he finally gives me his card), and that palace of the dead.
There's not even builds or rpg elements. I just looked up what my "combo" is on both characters and that's literally all I'll do for the rest of the game. Where is the fun? The story is barely there so it's not like I even have that to enjoy.
