Well okay, if you want to break it down that far, I can hang.
If we're talking about "morality" in that sense, before you even get to the point of DEFINING "what is the right thing", you first have to look at the capability of the actors.
An animal might have physical power, but without the mental ability to understand consequences and really think things through, his "Power" becomes practically limited by his ignorance, hence why moral responsibility generally doesn't apply to animals beyond maybe extreme aberrations.
This is why "Good" in a purely material sense is just "Power", because that's what's going to LET US SURVIVE until we can evolve to the more subtle level.
What you're not grasping is that evolution CONTINUES in the realm of the Astral in terms of our societies and how we treat each other.
In that context, its not organisms competing, but "ways of doing things", and all the usual evolutionary ruthlessness applies, but in a much softer form of "casting aside old ways" rather than organisms dying.
