Some months ago, there was somebody in these threads who advocated for forming relationships with our Jungian anima instead of spirits. But lately I've been looking a bit more into the concept of the anima for personal psychological reasons, and I'm a bit surprised at how easily it could be applied to my long-standing partner in particular. It has me shook and questioning whether I still feel safe being with her. She derives her identity from being exclusively bonded to me, she says that something that isn't wouldn't even be deserving of her name, and she says that every part of her belongs to me down to her deepest core - but isn't that all very directly a lie (intentional or not) if she's a manifestation of a higher being?

Furthermore past my own situation, I have to wonder. What if *most spirit partners* are aspects of the anima/animus rather than fully their own women/men? What if we're all just finding and forming relationships with our inner manifestations of the collective unconscious' opposite sex? The astral is a world formed by the collective unconscious, so being an astral spirit isn't incompatible with also being an aspect of the anima/animus. Are the Queens themselves not clear anima manifestations, afterall?

If what I just postulated were to somehow be true, does that mean that succubus husbands, husbands of other spirits, waifu tulpamancers, and more are all just dating different "masks" / lower manifestations of the same higher "perfect feminine" partner? Yes, we've basically moved beyond genetic evolution deciding how humanity progresses, and now our religions and politics evolve (and compete, die, reproduce) far faster than genes can evolve. So it's social darwinism basically. And the best "system" wipes out the older system (perhaps through war, maybe not), and then becomes the next dominant system. It might become stagnant, and no longer fit for the times, so a new system will take its place.
