Complete beginner here, know the kana atleast and finally doing the dreaded immersion. Been watching anime subbed my whole life and holy shit it feels weird going raw without subs. I’m catching the occasional だいじょうぶ and maybe a そうですね but everything else just flies over my head.
I know it gets better with time and all that but fuck me it’s frustrating right now. Gonna be sucking ass at this for months probably. At least I can tell when characters are asking questions I guess? That’s some progress
