If you only looked at that news from months ago, you should note that the generation changes are coming out faster now. nVidea seems to be halving the Rubin release cycle time periods probably because both Rubin and the next architecture beyond that are designed using AI. Improvements have been much faster with AI design help. So releases will be sooner than the previously announced 2026 to 2027 Rubin years. It will be 2025 to 2026 for first gen 50petaFlop and 2026 to 2027 for 2nd gen 100+ petaFlop processors. 2027 will then have the AI capable GPU.

You will have sunk so much into the PC that you'll need to keep using it well after Rubin has come out. Don't lock yourself into 50-series blackwell.
