To extend the time between patches even further, Brother. Because dear devs can't meet their own deadlines and are probably running a skeleton crew at best. Why else would they open it? If you need more proof than that, look up updated roadmap in season 4 >>529002806 where it says postponed. That's levels of arrogance you see from the biggest corporations in gaming industry, only neither Saber nor Focus have the resume to back that up.
Seriously, if only PTS helped fix the bugs, but each update brings more of them. You could forgive that to some degree if we had ton of new content at the same time, but a couple of cosmetics and a buggy mode (on top of numerous issues that started way back in 5.0). Give me a break...
There are no words in language of civilized people to express incompetence and sheer hubris of this dev team and the people involved in communication with the community.
