Here's my take. Picture these being the teams for an ORAS-styled Johto remake post Gen 9 with later evolutions being added, because by god if you tried doing this without them the teams would still be bad (because a lot of Gen 2 Pokemon by themselves are bad)

You could even throw some new regional forms in there too to freshen them up even further, but obviously I don't have ideas for that aside from having more ghosts and dragons.
