Its almost exclusively a woman thing. Its like at the gym, guys are always talking to me and sharing compliments and advice, whereas girls are obviously walking around with walls up for anyone that's not someone they know. Men and women do not interpret talking to strangers the same way because for women it typically entails being bothered about being fucked at some point.
