As someone who watched this show all the way through and was very invested in this relationship, it pissed me off that we never get to see Steven and Connie be an actual couple really
They spend most of the show as "just friends" with obvious romantic tension and usually when shows have two characters like that there'll be the scene where they upgrade their relationship by having them kiss or exchange "I love you" at a dramatic moment like pic related. And then after that happens they'll be dating but that doesn't really happen here
Connie kisses him on the cheek in the Movie, yeah. But even after this in Future it's sort of unclear if they're actually boyfriend and girlfriend now? Until they kiss totally unceremoniously in the FInale
I guess it's not really needed but still kinda disappointing imo

Speaking of Steven and Connie's relationship, was anyone else disappointed that they never really got to have a "Big Damn Kiss"? Like she kisses his nose when he's in his "giant depression kaiju" form and then they share a quick peck when he's about to leave BC in the finale but that's it.
